DIOCESE OF EAST CAROLINA

The Diocese of East Carolina, organized at a meeting at Christ Church in 1883, was formed by the division of the original Diocese of North Carolina along the western boundaries of Hertford, Bertie, Martin, Pitt, Green, Wayne, Sampson, Cumberland, and Robeson counties. The Diocese includes all counties from this line east to the Atlantic Ocean and to the Virginia line to the north and the South Carolina line to the south. Another way to know the geographic make up is roughly everything east of I-95.

Visit the Diocesan website for more information: www.diocese-eastcarolina.org.
