• Dinner on Five Continents to support Interfaith Refugee Ministry will be held March 7 at the Harrison Center. Welcome to an evening of community, music, dance, and an exquisitely prepared small-plate menu featuring cuisines from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. • 4th Annual Cupid's Shuffle Valentine's Day Experience will be held at The Maola at Riverside on February 14. Hosted by Joe Brown, a percentage of ticket sales go to the Carolina East Foundation. For tickets and more information go to www.joebrownband.com.

• Join George and Martha Washington for a Birthday Luncheon at the St. John's Masonic Lodge #3 on Saturday, February 21. The agenda includes a Colonial Parade, followed by greeting President and Lady Washington, as well as lunch and a program. Click here for more information.

• The Lifetime Learning Center at Craven Community College welcomes Molasses Creek to the stage at Orringer Auditorium on Friday, March 13. . • The next Faith Connection meeting will take place at 4 pm, Thursday, February 19, at St. Peters AME Zion Church (617 Queen Street). The speaker will be Antoinette Boskey from Guardian Ad Litem. All are welcome!

• Looking ahead, the March Faith Connection meeting will take place on March 19, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (308 Meadows Street). On the program agenda will be Arts to End Genocide, a local non-profit which works to bridge cultural divides and create a dialog about human rights using the power of art and technology.
