CHORISTERS PROGRAM

Join Christ Church's Choristers Program! All kids are welcome; they do not need to be a member of the church to participate in Choristers. We currently have four different groups, two of which are the Girls Choristers.

Cherub Choir: Sundays 9:45-10:00 am / Pre-school & early elementary school-age boys & girls

Cherub Choir is a singing group for children 2nd grade and younger. Children learn basic singing technique through songs and rhymes. They meet at 9:45 am during the Sunday School Hour in the Whirl K-2 Room September through May.

Junior Choristers: Tuesdays 4:00 - 4:30 pm / Elementary school-age boys & girls

In collaboration with the Christ Church GIG program, elementary school-age children are invited to join our brand-new Choristers Program! This group meets for 30 minutes once per week from September through May. In addition to learning songs, kids practice basic singing technique, build music reading abilities, and develop ear-training skills that expand their overall knowledge and love and appreciation of music.

Girls Choristers

Specifically geared towards girls, the Girls Choristers program consists of two groups, the Juniors and the Seniors. Both groups prepare music to sing for special services during the church year, such as Choral Evensong or a special Youth Sunday. Girls collaborate, build friendships and learn musical skills such as sight-singing, music theory, choral singing technique, and gain exposure to repertoire in the Episcopal tradition. All girls are welcome of any level or musical background.

Junior Girls Choristers: Tuesdays 4:30-5:00 pm / Elementary school-age girls

Senior Girls Choristers: Sundays 5:30-6:00 pm (followed by EYC) / Middle & early High school-age girls
